Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny story of love, laughter and friendship has been thrilling London audiences for over 10 years. More recently it became the biggest British hit movie of all time when the three women who created the worldwide stage smash hit adapted it for the silver screen.
Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs, from ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘Take A Chance On Me’ to ‘Super Trouper’ and ‘Thank You For The Music’, Mamma Mia's enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolds on a Greek Island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past to the island they last visited 20 years ago…

Get to know the Prince Of Wales Theatre London
The Prince Of Wales Theatre London is one of seven theatres owned by Delfont Mackintosh, the company started by Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Lord Bernard Delfont. Lord Delfont already owned the Prince Edward Theatre and The Prince of Wales and in 1990, Lord Delfont approached Mackintosh about acquiring these theatres as he felt that Mackintosh shared his passion about their future. He agreed to the partnership upon the condition that there would be a commitment to major renovation and refurbishment of the theatres. That was agreed and both theatres have been beautifully restored.

London Theatre Guide
If you are visiting London and would like to see one of the many famous plays or musicals (or both) on offer, then the best London theatre guide to help you make your choice would be someone who has been there before and experienced it themselves first hand. If you are good friends with the person and have a lot of the same interests then even better, they can give you an honest opinion about the show and will probably know if you would also like or dislike the overall performance. Personally I am a fan of the big musicals with grand stage designs, lots of colour, extravagant consumes and of course a fabulously catchy sound track to go along with it.
